Not what I'd hoped

I bought this bag in natural cork color last summer, and was initially so excited to have it. It's handsome, seemingly well-made, and has lots of clever little pockets that keep my belongings organized. Once the cork leather relaxed, it made for a lovely accessory, and I get compliments on it all the time.

However, it's really difficult to keep clean in this color. I don't put it anywhere but on my hip or side table at home, but it gets dark and grungy on almost every surface. I followed the recommended cleaning guidelines, and that does get it looking nice again, but it takes about an hour to get fully clean, and then immediately starts to pick up dirt again.

The worst thing, though, is the stitching. A couple months ago, one of the loops for the shoulder strap broke right off. I had to sew it back on and super glue it into place. I've noticed the stitching is starting to fray everywhere on the bag, and the thread has begun to slice through the cork in a lot of places, so I suspect I have some more patch jobs in my future.

I really love this bag and wish it were better. But for an almost $200 item less than a year after purchase, this is very disappointing.

Outstanding Briefcase

I recently picked up a wallet and a briefcase and I really like both of them. I’ve gone through a lot of both of those before and I can tell at first use that they’re both durable while maintaining an elegant look. It’s easy to see the craftsmanship put into both of these products and it’s incredibly impressive.

The briefcase is especially noteworthy, as I’ve had a couple get banged up pretty badly while traveling (specifically by plane). I’m pretty confident I can be rough with this one and still not worry about it’s durability. It’s also quite spacious—I could easily fit an extra pair of clothes in it along with my laptop and cables and still have room leftover. That alone means I can cut down on the number of bags I need to carry when traveling. This is something I’ve been needing for a while!

I highly recommend both of these to anyone, and especially the briefcase if you travel frequently.
